This sweater is soft and lightweight, and the pointelle stitch gives it a lovely feminine look. I haven't had any problems with rips, and I too am not a fan of short sweaters but I find the length of this one to be just right for me, although I am a bit on the short side. I would have purchased the other colour too if it was available in my size.

I'm 5' 8" but with a short torso and this is way too short on me. The pictures show the length as the same as the sleeve but it's at least 4 inches shorter than the sleeves. Wish is had worked as it's beautiful but nope.
