I tried these on in store and the small fit, but was a little snug, so I went for a roomier medium. It's a good thing I did because these shrunk in the wash (on a cold cycle no less!). They came out an inch shorter and snugger around the waist. But they're pretty darn comfy!

The product description is accurate - they are 100% cotton flannel. Modern flannels can be made of cotton. I typically wear size 34 jeans. I got the size 2X - they're pretty baggy on me. But the waistband and elastic cuffs make them fit very comfortably. They are my favourite PJ pants by far - I'm going to purchase more in different patterns.
