My hips measured as 45". On the size chart my choices were to get 44.5" (16) or 46.5" (18) so I played it safe and got an 18. I was online shopping so I was 100% expecting these pants to be way too big (atleast 3") but they weren't. They are maybe an inch too big everywhere except my waist so it's not horrible, but if you're in between sizes like me I recommend sizing down. That being said they do fit as they should in the size chart, it is my own fault for buying a size larger. Overall though i love the style.
