I bought several pairs of black jeans from reitmans. The smell from their black jeans in overwhelming. I contacted their head office several times and tried everything to have them replaced and they refused to acknowledge that there is a major problem with their supplier. They seem to act like this is new information to them but people have been complaining for years. I read about this issue and it's not uncommon with black dyed garments coming from manufacturers that use a cheap batch dying process. It's a foul sulphurous smell that intensifies as the garment warms up while you wear it. Very frustrating as I have to stay clear of any black jeans from reitmans. The smell will actually transfer to other clothing that you have hanging next to it. They ended up exchanging the jeans that I bought but never compensating me for the other clothing that I had to throw away. I tried for months to buy new black jeans from them thinking that they would resolve the problem. I sniff test the black jeans when I'm in the store shopping. They do not care. The problem persists.

They are the worst fitting pant I have ever purchased. They were snug and nice fitting at first. After about an hour they stretched so much I can't keep them up. Will never recommend Reitman's jeans to anyone.

Purchased these online at a fantastic sale price. I prefer pants with a zipper front and button but the price was so good on these I had to get them. Ariived in just a couple of days. Great ordering and paying with paypal as I don't like using my credit card online. Always great sales at Reitmans.

I'd been looking for a pair of straight leg black jeans for a long time and found these on the sale rack for a ridiculously low price. They fit beautifully and are very flattering. As usual, being quite petite, had to take them up a bit, but since they are straight-leg, it only took about ten minutes. I love that they're jet black, with no fake faded spots and the fabric is quite light weight and very soft.
