I bought this top to wear like a tunic length blouse, and the length works well that way. I'm short (5') and the hem reaches the bottom of my back pockets. The shoulder was a little slouchier than I would have preferred. The neckline and shoulders have a lot of pleat detail, that, along with the wrinkle prone non-stretch viscose fabric, lends to a somewhat frumpy look. The sleeves hit the middle of my forearms, so they are more 3/4 length than elbow length, if that's what you were going for. The colour is a muted khaki. Overall, not my favourite top on me. However, styling it a little by unbuttoning the top two buttons, a cute short necklace, and some blue jeans, or maybe black ankle jeans and my cropped denim jacket, it dresses up a somewhat bland top. I bought this particular top for the colour, but I wish I bought the printed petite version instead. It probably would have fit better and looked less shapeless. I believe this would work well on some people, but I wasn't overly impressed. I am on the chesty side, so I bought XL. Because it isn't stretchy, I would recommend your normal size, even though it was a little large in spots on me, if I sized down it wouldn't fit my chest (38DD).
